We were in shock and had not a clue as to where Cambodia was on the map when we were asked by our church to consider missions in Cambodia. Our children were grown, we were finally out-of-debt and our first grandchild was on the way. We have been in Cambodia now for over four years and at 54 years old, we can’t imagine any other place we’d rather be. We only wish our family could be here with us.

Our little church is very poor. The average weekly collection is $7. There is a need for Bibles, musical instruments, hymnals and so much more!

Physical Needs

Ministry To Educate

We meet poor children and teens regularly who don’t go to school but are bright and willing. It costs on average $1.00 a day to go to school in Cambodia.

We have begun a project fund which helps to educate all ages of children. We currently have 10 students from our church plant in Phnom Penh attending a wonderful Christian school started by Malaysian missionaries. Six of those children were not going to school before. Two were going to the public school but because they are poor, the education they receive is minimal compared to those who can contribute money for their education. Many poor students cannot read well because of the lack of training.
